Get out the chalk and play “Escargot”, a traditional French children’s game. Draw a shape like a giant snail and fill with 15 to 20 numbered squares, leading toward the center. Children must hop to the center square without landing on any lines or claimed squares.
If they make it, they get to choose their own square to initial. Whoever claims the most squares wins the game.
